Pros:
room lots of it
Cons:
location - seemed off the beaten track

As a person who is not a habitual club goer in Bombay I was impressed by the actual size of fire ’n’ ice. Set in the Phoenix Mills complex which also contains other entertainment venues (there
was definitely a bowling alley)the club itself has the luxury of occupying a large area of space that manifests itself in a large dance floor, roomy bar area and an upper balcony area (if memory serves me right). I recall it as being the one dance floor in Bombay where you never had to feel the sweat of your neighbours unless you wanted to.

There is an entrance fee (quite reasonable) which once paid entitles the payer to an equivalent amount of drinks from the bar. The drinks were reasonably priced by Indian club standards and if one did not stray from beer could drink quite substantially within the cover charge. If you however have more exotic tastes or really want to get hammered then be prepared pay more.

The clientele were a reasonably mixed bunch by way of ages and dress. There didn’t seem to be a dress code in place. It’s definitely not couples only although I am unaware of their policy on groups of large single men.

The Dj’s were very good and there was a good mix of music. There were some hindi songs played but the music was predominantly english. I was surprised to see some very upto the minute club anthems being played which I had not expected to hear in an indian disco.

Overall we had a great night out. The sheer comparative size of Fire ’n’ Ice coupled with the excellent (in my opinion) music made it feel as if I wasn’t in a Bombay club. You could actually talk rather than shout to each other in the bar which has to be a first. The only downside must be the location which if you do not have your own transport, at 4.00am didn’t seem to be the easiest place to get a taxi from. Still I expect thats the small price you have to pay for what has to be one of the better discos in Bombay.

Entry Charges: reasonable
Type of Music: Mix of all
Couple Entry: No Comment
