My earlier two cars were aIso Indica and I had used for almost 6 years without any major trouble. I really appreciate TATA Motors for their efforts in refining & launching Vista Model which is totally a new car with huge space inside & loaded with lot of useful features like tiltable steering, height adjustable dirver's seat and with 2 din music system from TATA. The top end version also has rear defogger with wiper which is very useful feature driving during the rainy season apart from the other standard features like all 4 power windows, central locking & fog lamps.
There is also remarkable improvement in the plastics used in the dash board and the central mounted instruement cluster is really impressive with blue lit display being very attractive. The built of the car is very good and the car can also handly bumy roads quite easliy. The rear seating is very comfortable for long drives and 3 adults can be seated comfortably. In fact I had booked Swift VDI but the minute I took the test drive of Vista I booked and got the first vehicle delivered in Hubli to me.
The engine is very responsive & its a pleasure to drive this car even in city with min gear changing. The gear shifting is also drastically improved and needs less effort to change the gears. The only one negative thing about this car is that, the looks at the rear almost resembles the old indica except for the extended tail lamp.
SInce I am using this car only for the last one week I have not checked about the mileage but I am sure this must be a very fuel efficient car since the Engine is same as Swift Diesel. But this car will definitely give very tough competition to Swift diesel and the hype created about Swift will soon vanish. The dealer was very co-operative and delivered the car as promised.
