I own a Fiat Punto which is just 1.6 years old now. After reading customer reviews online about poor condition of after sale services I was not convinced to choose Fiat at the time of buying 2013(Mid). Fiat India announced we have plans for Fiat(India), we are adding more dealers, service points, etc. The latest status is no improvement rather it has become worst.

Wish to share my experience with all,

Yes, the Fiat vehicle is good! But there is no point in having a good vehicle at the service point for months just to address minor issues, Agree?

About a week back, I encounter a problem in car A/c. I reported the problem in RDC Motors in Chennai(Ambathur). The service engineer checked the vehicle and said it would take at least a day/2 to have it repaired. After 2 days when I approached them back, he said it will take 3 more days, After 3 days, Sir, parts are still awaited we cannot confirm, you can expect your car repaired/delivered after may be 4/5 days or even more.

He mentioned that order(s) are placed online to replace the defect since it is within warranty period. While inquiring about reason for delay, he gave me a story. To make the long story short, Order placed at dealer point has to be approved by Fiat India plant in PUNE it seems. All replacement goods will be dispatched only in batches. Ordered parts will be dispatched from Pune plant in a truck(road ways). Ok, when will it reach? God only knows. What you mean? Condition of truck is important. Driver(s) state is important, bla bla. We will inform you once the goods reached Chennai.

They can follow their own process it’s their business but I could not understand why the dealer/manufacture should not have some additional spare parts in stock? Compressor failure should be a common issue. Poor management by both manufacturer and dealer. This is the status in Chennai.
