I purchased an Adventure about a month ago, from Fortune Motors in Thane. My experience with the dealer took an unfortunate twist. Immediately after taking delivery, when I reached home, I noticed that the odometer showed 410 kms, when ideally it should not have done more than about 50 kms as the car is delivered from Fiat's Kurla plant.
Very clearly, they palmed off to me their test vehicle from their showroom, which was used for providing test drives to prospective buyers. The car also did not have any plastic seat covers etc, whic I had seen when I bought my wagon R some years ago.
I have written to both the Dealer as well as to Fiat to compensate me for the fact that they sold me a car which they used for their purposes. However, no reply except for a cryptic phone call from the dealer that it was a new car.
Has anyone such an experience? What is the usual number of KMs that a new vehicle runs, assuming it is taken to workshop, to RTO etc? Can anyone advise if they had a similar experience?
Thanks.
