The books tagline reads Was your promise of love fullfilled?

Well, don't know about love but the promise of a good read was definitely not fullfilled.

Novels are supposed to entertain people and when the question is of Love Stories, then what does a novel-freak like me want other than a soothing romance and a delightful story. But then there are some novels which literally test your patience. I mean like seriously!

Few Things Left Unsaid belongs to such category. I am really sorry to state it considering the authors efforts behind iot but what's true is true. Forget love, the novel was a complete disappointment.

I happened to come across this novel in Amazon.in's bestsellers list and the novel proclaimed to have sold a million copies nationwide. Having a desperate need to read a novel owing to an immediate train journey, I decided to opt for Sudeep Nagarkar's Few Things Left Unsaid. Undoubtedly, it was the most embarrassing novel I came across ever and I didn't even feel the courage to pursue the end of the book. Normally I don't leave any novels incomplete, no matter however boring the story goes but for the first time Few Things Left Unsaid made me do it.

Storyline - Few Things Left Unsaid is a story of a boy, Aditya, who is unable to make decisions of his life in a confined manner. Like all other young souls, Aditya craves for love and his search for love ends when he encounters Riya, in an engineering college. But something makes him leave her and the love once frutified with sweet essence now turns out to be sour. What tragedy has striken the couple? Will they be able to re-unite again? Questions like these are supposed to keep you hooked to the story but unfortunately, Sudeep terribly fails as an author.

Style of Writing - Even though the language used in the novel is simple and fluid but the storyline completely creates a blunder to the otherwise honest attempt. Sudeep has tried a lot to enact Chetan Bhagat's style into his novel and thereby created a mess. I think it would have been a lot better had he stuck to his original self. Even though the story appears to be intriguing, the plot somehow doesn't captivate you equally. Few pages into the book and you lose interest. The story keeps losing its flair and at times seems a quite too dragging which somehow turns irritating for the readers. Every now and then, the author loses the plot as if he himself is confused as to what to write next. This makes it pretty vague. Moreover there are no catchy moments toi keep you hooked to the novel.

Author - Sudeep Nagarkar, the first time author and with his debut novel, fails to create a charm he was supposed to. Besides, with the growing amount of novels in the love and romance genre, there is a tough competition among authors. And hence readers search for something unique. Sudeep presents the same, old boring stuff in a new appearance. Moreover, he lacks the humor and essence authors like Chetan and Durjoy Dutta create. Infact Ravinder Singh as a first time author was also a hit but Sudeep takes the novel in a monotonous direction. He has nothing new to offer and the novel turns out to be a pretty low one.

I stuck by the novel for two long days, the train journey was completely wasted and inspite of that, I didn't finish the book. I happened to leave the book midway. Its not that Few Things Left Unsaid is one of the worst books I have read but it definitely bores you till death. I had known it and would definitely not recommend it to anyone. Incase you do opt for, it's in your risk.
