I would certainly agree that the hospital docs are very experienced and good, but that doesn't mean that the hospital itself is a place of magic. A good hospital includes good doctors, nursingstaff, infrastructure, maintenance and min facilities like cashless insurance.
I would like to share my bit of experience, rather a worst experience. My mom got operated in the month of may and initially when we showed our insurance card, they promised for a cashless insurance. But as and when she was operated, they told us that the insurance ppl are asking for complete itinerary of the diagnosis, which they don't have (they agreed that a start up hospital shld have this).
They told us that cashless is not possible and to settle the whole bill of 1.25lakhs and post discharge they would apply for insurance. But after paying full amt and discharge, we had to be behind them to apply for the insurance and it took 1 month for them to apply.
But our woes didn't end there. they gave their hospital account no while claiming our insurance. The insurance credited the amt to their hospital acc in 2 months. Its been 6 months now and the bill is still pending with them and each time we call... their TRUE COLORS are being showed.
Not only that, they are saying that they will deduct tax from our insurance amt which I really dont understand. Beware guys!! As I said earlier, a good hospital is not just good docs, it should have min ethics.
