Seldom is it that anyone write such a compelling story. The Lord of the Rings is meant to be read as a whole; not in 3 separate books. In The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien has created an actual world, complete

with histories, language and a life of its own. Nothing I have ever read before or after have quite measured up to the high standards set by Tolkien.

The language used in the telling of the story compelled to further read it. And the style of language changes as the story is told from different characters’ point of view. It was as if I was right along with Frodo and the other hobbits out in their Adventure.

I would recommend The Lord of the Rings to anyone that loves a good read. It is truly a great work.
