Favourite Books Of Childhood

I think I have been close to books since a very young age as I have a elder brother u had a stock of them during those days. The books that I started reading were the comics, the pictures and the story
Whewww...The most favorites were Amar chitra katha and panchtantra. The stories out of the chandamama books, dont know whether u still get them.

With age came the Archie comics, Archie, betty and veronica..but my most favorite of them was Jughead and sabrina..wish I had her powers:-).. I use to read Asterix and Tintin but Tintin was one collection that was not easily available to us so I read them recently when I found all its volumes in the library I m currently connected to.

Well friends the moment I think of the books I read in my childhood the name that that I wouldn’t miss is Enid blyton, I was a die hard fan of her writing, use to love her books, I think the most of them I read of hers were The famous five series, The secret seven series and the mystery series.

The basic reason I got hooked to her was our school library. They had almost all the series available. Actually even today that I get to read her books, I do take a chance. The only collections that I wanna read of her now is the once she wrote on Noddy as character. May be once my nephew grows old enough I may get a chance.

To say a little about Enid Blyton, she was probably the most successful British children’s writer of the twentieth century, she was born in London on 11th August 1897 and she died in 1968. I doubt ery much if any of the us wouldn’d have read her collection.

The next books I got intrested in were Nancy drew books. If I am to ask anyone if they have heard of them I must be kidding, coz ofcourse u have, who hasn’t. A naughty, highly skilled amature young detective. Ned Nickerson her handsome boyfriend. Her mysteries were fun to read. The basic thing was the suspense I could never solve the end before her.

With years passing I started reading Agatha Cristie, John Grisham, Sidney Sheldon, David Baldacci, Mary Higgins Clark, A few indian authors, A read a few of Shobha de books.

But the books of Mills & boons are the ones that I read during college days and still continue to read.
