Last year I read an article in same outlook about male prostitution is hot business in Mumbai. Girls are ready to pay for guys. Even guys are approaching them for homosex. Virile guys are available in all ranges according to your money. What a great culture and tradition? Isn?t it? Pre marital sex has become a fashion these days. A few years back, in a survey they came to know that percentage of teenage girls coming for abortions is increasing everyday.

Lot of gays and lesbians has opened up clubs in major cities. Lot of extra marital affairs also exists these days and recent bollywood cinemas adds fuel to the burning sensation. In many major cities we have licensed prostitution centers. The fashion TV that you argue for also telecast some Indian fashion shows in which Indian models do lingerie shows and semi nude cat walks. All these add diamonds to the crown of Indian culture and tradition. Isn?t it?

AIDS has torn the mask of our Indian culture and tradition. The condition is getting even worse in our country. All these are because of lack of awareness in the initial stage it self. The premarital sex, lesbians, gays, male prostitution all are there in a large number here also than any other country but they all happens inside four walls and never leaks out, Which I referred in my initial statement itself. Why? The answer is Lack of awareness in initial stage itself.

Mr. Red: I do understand something from what you said. But as yourself tell about all this and I don?t know then why you are supporting Ftv. I feel this channel make this even worse. And however, I feel now only politicians have raised their voice for a right cause. Why we need this channel between all these confusions in our culture. Let us throw it out.

Mr. Green: I know you agreed with my point and you are still opposing just for the sake of winning the argument. But what role does the politicians play here. They are just creating popularity to the channel. It will increase the curiosity among the teenagers to watch this channel and creates popularity for their channel. It is the human mentality, when you prohibit something beyond a particular point their interest on that increases more.

Politicians safely play double game in this issue. On one side they gain good name among the people by taking up the issue of banning this channel and on the other side they create wide popularity about the channel. Who knows they may even get some money from the channel for doing this? You can?t underestimate the brain of our politicians and they go to any extreme to earn money and fame. Similar to what is happening know in Tamilnadu. By opposing the superstars like Rajini and kamalhaasan and their movies, some of the politicians gain popularity and the idiotic reasons they say for opposing them reveal their intention clearly. So, please wake up at least now; how long you will blindly believe the words of politicians.

Mr. Red: What do you say finally. You think that fashion TV is a must.

Mr. Green: Well, you have completely taken my argument in the wrong sense. I don?t argue ?it is a must? and my argument is that it is not the only channel that seduce the teens and it doesn?t need to be given any special attention to the extent of talking about banning it. Unnecessarily these talks creates more hype and popularity on the channel and spread up to each and every one in the country those who even don?t know about this.

If this is the reason that you say for banning, please check out the remix videos, some advertisements on condoms, recent bollywood movies on extra marital affairs, disco songs in movies, wardrobes of hosts in TV shows etc.,(why we need Mandira Bedi for discussions on cricket) are much more erotic than Ftv models and shows. The only difference is they continuously provide you with such stuffs. Everything has to be banned.

Mr. Red: Hey. Mr. Blue why are silent and what about yours view on this issue.

Mr. Blue: I just don?t care. These discussions are useless. Who will watch these boring catwalks in Ftv? I have better choices, porn sites, books, movies etc., Let them ban it or leave it, who is going to watch it. I have enough money to spend on for such stuffs. So, I have nothing against to say or nothing supporting to say on this issue.

Rarely I watch Ftv when my father cuts my packet money. After all these are natural in this age. But I would say it doesn?t distract me anyway. I know my limits and what to do and what not to do and I am aware of the consequences of everything. And also I would agree with one thing what Mr. Green said, ?Lack of Awareness in sex is the root cause of all these evils?.

Mr. Green: Thanks for agreeing with me. And your thoughts reflects your social status.

Mr. Red: Finally, let us think about each other?s view and decide who is correct. Take sometime to make a final decision.

Standing in the middle of howrah bridge and the three are thinks about each other?s view for sometime.

After a while Mr. Green started

Mr. Green: Agree with both of your views.
Mr. Red: Agree with both of your views
Mr. Blue: Agree with both of your views

Mr. Green: Even though there are so much of evils happening in our society we have not gone that much worse. Though I said I would watch Ftv with my family sitting together, practically it is impossible and the culture is not yet ruined to that extent. We still have commitments with our relations and highly addicted to sentimental emotions and that is our unique culture with format of living as a family. Even though, we talk about sex with our family members freely, can we talk about this with our brother or sister? Though many people go wrong, they still feel guilty and are always conscious that they are doing something wrong.

At least to that extent we are far better from other western nations in saving our culture and tradition. And yes Mr. Blue pointed out correctly. These days teens know their limits and clever in taking decisions. But yet all young minds don?t have the same maturity, why should we take a risk and spoil their life by allowing them to watch all these, let it be banned.

Mr. Red: Yes I agree with your points. We are pretending for sure. Each person is unique. Merely banning a TV channel will not make all the necessary changes in our society. It all has gone beyond the safe limits and there is no scope for changes anymore and we have to try to adjust our lives accordingly. And yes these days teens are clever and well determined, it is only the parents who are confused and worried and could not adjust themselves with the fast changing society. They could not digest many things that teens do these days, which were considered as great sin and highly prohibited deeds when they were young and is that what we call generation gap. Let the channel be aired.

Mr. Blue: Even though I still stand in my point. I agree both of your views considering your social status. Even if I were in your situation I would think in the same way.

And again the argument starts; it is impossible to make a group people think alike. All their views have changed but yet they don?t synch with each other?s. One can never reach a unanimous solution for such social problems.

And in this conversation, ?Mr. Green? is the mouthpiece of my opinions on this issue. What is your stand on this issue. Please comment on it. Sorry for the length.
