I love my India. I really do. But when people like Sushma Swaraj spew pseudo venom, I am left speechless. It is simply ridiculous for as the civilisation progresses you witness Growth. But the growth
that our cultural warlords are propgating off late, defies all logic.
We were liberal when it came to Sex in the ancient times. Yet, strangely, we are now turning coy about the entire thing. Why!
FTV is a funny marketing gimmic for it is selling clothes with a backdrop of psychedelic music. In spite of that theres nothing offensive about it. The sight of women clad in Dream clothes, or no clothes is hardly vulgar. I dont think Priye Sushma Ji has seen Karishma and Govinda gyrating in a blue-film -like manner in Sarkaye Leyo Khatiya blockbuster number.
The sleaze element, both in terms of visuals and language is downright zilchmarket. I am not saying that what the Drugged Bimbos display while seducing the ramp is something that we just-cant-do without. Still, i dont think theres anything cheap or brazen.
The cases of rapes and molestation abound in India.
The lack of proper Sex Education leaves our youngsters totally confused. And rather than concentrating upon their education, career and health, they drift into wayward activities. I think that should be a definite cause for concern more than anything else. What have we done for them in last so many years. No change at all.
Sex is certainly in the mind. A naked body may look extremely beautiful and aesthetically sound, while a sari clad woman with pointed contours might look absolutely vulgar. The fault lies with the fact as to how one observes something. And the more you deprive something to someone, the curiosity develops even further.
At the same time, FTV can do with a few changes and a sense of order. For one should atleast understand as to what is what. It is high time they displayed Indian dresses as well so that the resentment might lessen and the personalised element may grow profitable. As for those whove got complaints, please switch to some other channel. It is a democracy after all. No ones stopping you from making your choices.
