Fanaa..Destroyed in love.  The movie begins at a lighter note.  Aamir khan as a Guide and Kajol as a blind girl from Kashmir in Delhi.  Kajol is shown as a girl with less confidence in herself because even her parents think that she can’t get married to a good man because she is blind.  Therefore, when Aamir starts flirting with Kajol, Kajol starts thinking its love. Everything is going according to typical bollywood movie until Kajol has a one night stand with Aamir.  This shows how desperate Kajol was that she would settle for one night stand rather than a real relationship.  Then you start thinking about how the movie is going to end but then there is a complete over turn in the movie.

There is a blast in Delhi and people think Aamir is dead. It feels like the second part of the movie is part of some other movie.  It turns out Aamir is actually a terrorist.  And then the typical terrorist story starts off with a lost man who is brainwashed by his grandfather.  He is on a mission to find the trigger to some bomb.  In that journey he ends up being at Kajol’s house in Kashmir.  Kajol was now able to see because of the operation right before the blast in Delhi. 

Then Aamir is recognized after a while and their son finally gets a father and they finally get married.  You think that you are getting whats happening and then you see Kajol, the girl who was so desperate for love, kills Aamir just because he is a terrorist.  All of a sudden the love for the country came before the love of her life.  I think it was just too drastic.  This story seem like it was written by some high school student.  If the director had spent more time in coming out with a new story rather than combining two different genres in the same movie, then the result would have been better.
