Sony seems to be quite obsessed with REALITY BASED SHOW,as we saw in case of DANCE-DANCE,INDIAN IDOL,FAME GURUKUL................and now again they are gonna start INDIAN IDOL-2.Its commendable and good
thought on part of SONY TV to give platform to young aspirants................to showcase their talents,but this time on with FAME GURUKUL..................Sony TV has made a complete mockery of talent hunt shows and in the end you just don’t understand what the channel is trying to show?What do they want out of their contestants or viewers?And hence both are confused................Firstly i feel,FAME GURUKUL isn’t a great concept................there is something very fake and political about it...................and other than that i feel,nothing works for the programn on the whole,everything starting from the anchors,faculty and most importantly the contestant...................everything is bad.This is what i think of all of them.
CONTESTANT.....................Well for a reality based show,the most important thing is that the people who are participating in any form should be good,but FAME GURUKUL loses the maximum points on that account.The contestants are really bad.............and when you compare them with the talent of some of the contestant of INDIAN IDOL,you’ll be even more dissapointed.Barring a few(wo bhi sunte sunte achche lagne lage)there is no one................whom you’ld watch the show for(as in the case of RAHUL VAIDYA,AMIT SANA,PRAJAKTA,ABHIJEET).The contestant here are being given constant training but still they just don’t impress you...............i feel they work more on their looks,attires and of course on how to give answers to those weird questions that the faculty and anchors put up to them!I really don’t know on what basis the faculty picked these people?Because none of them sings exceptionlly well nor they have great looks or personality.I feel ARIJIT,MONA BHATT,ANUBHAV and KIRTI...............were some of the better singers and they are not there in the GURUKUL now................so what do u make out of such a show?
FACULTY...................Who is Prashant Sir and Padma mam?Nobody knows them...............so on what basis were they picked up?And ILA ARUN,well if you make someone like her the headmistress of a learning school.................then i feel sorry for everyone involved.She has absolutely no grace or dignity to be a HM,her language is so loud and cheaP...............and she looks so cunning and shrewd,really hats of to the students of GURUKUL to have tolerated her rude comments.The faculty i also feel is very biased...............and have their favourites,whom they support.Whereas GURUKUL should be a place where everyone should get equal respect and training......and also i feel,i have rarely seen them giving tips to the student on how to better their singing.They are more into politics.And on what basis they chose their students...................only they can answer?Also the fights btw the judges and faculty....................is so annoying.
ANCHORS....................MANDIRA AND MANAV,are as fake as fake can be!They are so bad,boring..................and when Mandira cries when some contestant is out,you can easily make out her acting and Manav looks more like a lost lamb..............who does nothing better than promote those nokia phones.One of the worst anchors i have ever seen on tv.
CONTESTANT VOTING.......................is also a very bad concept and it was because of this that JAVED AKHTAR had to make a remark,and hence so much emphasis was given to how the contestant played dirty and were clever in their moves of getting a better contestant out of the gurukul.So they should not be given right to choose anyone.....................their are better people to judge them,and hence this right should have given to the acclaimed panel of judges ,whom they thought deserved to be in the gurukul.
FAKE and STAGE MANAGED.....................you can easily make out,esp from the last few episodes that this whole programn is stage managed.The exit of SHAMIT.MONICA,ARIJIT.........................to bring REX back again,is all pre-planned..................hence their is no excitement or curiosity in the show.Even now we can easily make out that REX-ROOPREKHA are gonna win the fame jodi................the way they both are being promoted.So everything iS fake out here.All of such programns are....................but here it is more than evident.
The only reason to watch this programn are
THE JUDGES.....................anybody should feel proud to perform infront of JAVED AKHTAR,SHANKAR MAHADEVAN,KK..................and they are very geniuine and honest with their remarks.If anybody listents to them properly they can benifit from them.
FAME GURUKUL is more like SHAME GURUKUL..........................which is doing nothing for anyone,its wasting the viewers time and money and even the contestant got to gain nothing from it,instead they bacame more unpopolar with the people watching them because of all the politics involved.
