A newly wed working woman sought to bring prosperity to her in laws homes, by ordering feng shui bamboo plants and welcoming the new year in style. The bane of metropolitanism forced her to choose an online
shopping site, to reach places as far flung as Vizag, and as exotic as Jaipur (not to mention as local as Mumbai and Delhi as well). Thus she turned to fabmart, her companion of internet shopping of almost 3 years. 3 years of unsullied, faithful service....delivering CDs to books to flowers to even jewellery. Little did she know that a simple order like delivering the same kind of bamboos on the same day (Jan 1, 2004) would lead her to a welter of shame and embarassment in front of her new in laws....for the first sufferer were the parents-in-law, who received the message meant for the sister-in-law even before the new year had begun! the second casualty was the sister-in-law who received the message card meant for her brother 2 days after the new year had passed....and so on....<not even one single card was matched to the message or the recipient or the intended day>. A lot of calls were exchanged, sister in laws felt bad about them receiving the gift while the parents did not, while the brother felt bad that his sister had been left out....not to mention things like late delivery....
How do I know all this?
Because I am the unlucky girl...and I have suffered the shame and embarassment of having to explain why the gifts got mixed up. Alll this, all because I relied on my trusted fabmart.
Hearbroken and sad, I will NEVER shop on fabmart again. Goodbye trusted friend, for leading me to shame and mental torture.
