There is this massive show room called eZone which has opened up in Koramangala. They are offering a great collection of electronics items under one roof. On 15th August they let out a massive sale of upto 15% off. Since I have recently moved into my new house. I decided to take advantage of the sale and bought
1) LG 328 lt Fridge
2) Samsaung 32"" LA32R8 TV
3) Onkya HT-680 Home theatre All for a whopping sum of 97K. After having paid this amount I felt happy to have got a good discount of 14% on the total amount. However my nightmare had just begun. the next day 16th August e zone delivered the fridge and home theatre to my house and told me that the TV is out of stock. The next day an LG person came and started the demo of the fridge. I noticed something fishy. The fridge delivered to my home was 298Lt. whereas the fridge which I paid for was 328Lt. I called up e zone koramangala and informed them that they have delivered the wrong fridge to my home.
I turned out that they had made a mistake in my bill itself and had billed me the wrong fridge. After a lot of argument with the manager admitted that it was his salesman’s mistake in making the bill and decided to deliver me the fridge which I had purchased. When that episode was over, for the next 2 weeks the TV was out of stock and I made atleast 20 calls to them begging them to deliver the TV. On August 28th Finally E Zone delivered the TV to my house. Now when we started installing the home theatre system. I realized that the home theatre system is very poorly packed. there are cables missing. the system is full of dust and scratches! To my horror the Onkyo installation guy said that this system is not being manufactured for the past 1 year.
It seems that E Zone had delivered their DEMO SYSTEM to my home. I was furious and there was another show down between me and the E Zone Koramangala staff. Upon threatening them with consumer court action, they agreed to replace the home theatre system. And finally today 1st September the replacement arrived at my home. I feel so sorry that after spending 97 K, I had to suffer enormous trauma in calling e zone again and again. and at 2 times I had to fight with their manager at the top of my voice to make my point.
 Its a shame that such a glossy store is giving such a goofy and bad service. There is no execuse for billing a customer a wrong fridge. or delivering the shops 1 year old demo system or selling a TV which is out of stock for next 2 weeks.
