I bought a CDMA mobile from e-zone Esteem mall at Hebbal on 26th August. I had to come all the way from Electronics City as I needed a CDMA handset urgently and could not get any other e-zone retailer who were having this model. I bought a sealed box but when I switched on the phone after making the payment, the display was totally white. I showed it to the sales man and asked him to replace the handset. He simply refused to accept it back and started arguing that the bill has already been generated and I should contact the phone's customer service at RT Nagar to get a replacement. I clearly told him that I had come all the way from Electronics City and it would not be convenient for me to follow with customer service at RT Nagar for a phone which I had just bought.
EDIT: A few days after posting this review I received a call from the operations team of e-zone. They offered to take the phone to service themselves if I returned the phone along with original bill and all accessories to any of their outlets. I did so and was given a receipt. Again after a few days I received a call and was asked to collect a new phone from the same store. Since the earlier phone was not demoed to me after purchase, this time they demoed the phone and asked me to sign the demo acknowledgement form. I was surprised since they do have a process of getting demo acknowledgement from the customer then why did the salesman not provide a demo the first time? Anyways, its almost 3 weeks since I had purchased the phone and receiving a replacement. Now I have little use of the phone as I had already ordered another one from a leading online seller who offers home delivery with 10 days replacement. I regretted not buying it online 3 weeks back. It would have saved me a lot of time, anxiety and 4 unnecessary trips to their shop.
