Like many of these stories I have read, I purchased a ROUNDTRIP airline ticket from Burlington VT to El Paso TX. The way there was no problem. I checked to make sure my return flight was okay and it was.
When I went to the airport the tickets had been canceled. The airline could see my reservation but the seats had been none the less canceled. Expedia told me to just purchase one way tickets and they would reimburse me. So I spent more on a one way flight ($650.00) than I did on my roundtrip flight. When I returned home expedia continually gave me the run around for months with lower level employees. After speaking with a supervisor last month I was told it obviously wasnt my fault and "it shouldnt be a problem." Yesterday another supervisor called me to tell me that expedia acknowledges that I wasnt at fault, but they refused to accept any responsibility and placed the blame on the airlines, whom "they" repeat "they" reserved for me. To top it off I reviewed my bank statements and not only did expedia charge me twice for plane tickets they charged me a service charge. To those few that made complaints about so called "victims" of expedia taking responsibility, I really want to know how long you have worked for those pieces of shit. Im a combat veteran who doesnt have a ton of money. Thanks expedia I would recommend your service to anyone wanting to get stranded around the world.
