We were in the middle of the English Channel when we discovered via email our hotel reservations in England were cancelled. We had made them three weeks prior and assumed we had reservations. When we
arrived in England we called the hotel and learned that Expedia was aware of the problem within a day of our making the reservation, but did not contact us until the day we were to check into the hotel.
Now we are still waiting for our $2,100 to be credited back to our account and that is after spending hours on the telephone with Expedia. They are telling us our credit card will be credited but not for 2 or 3 billing cycles.
When we made the reservation our credit card was billed immediately and it is going to take 4 months for our money to be refunded to us.
When we arrived home 4 days later, we expected to find a credit on our credit card for the $2,100.
That was wishful thinking, if we had not contacted Expedia the process to get a refund would have never been started.
