Like other consumers we too got ripped off by Expedia. It started with the car rental place not having our $423.23 upgaded minivan to our hotel not having our suite but a small one bedroom with 5 people. I was in a foreign country. Cell phones were many dollars per minute and the hotel phone was the same if not more expensive. They knew they had you at their mercy and they didnt care. I spent 3 days and $300 trying to get Expedia to do anything. They promised to call me back and never did. After getting hung up on twice after 45 min. each I was told I would then have to wait 30-45 min for a supervisor. I waited on hold for them for 1 hour and 22min. They never even came back on the line. They never did anything to help. Terrible if non existant customer service with operators using made up names and talking to supervisors with them not knowing I figured out what they were doing. Now they are telling me I need to initiate an e-mail with the car rental place, EuropCar (never deal with them either) to supposedly get my "refund". I dont believe it will happen. This did ruin my entire vacation. I was so physically upset it made me ill and have been in bed since. But Im not going to let them get away with it. They dont know who there dealing with. Im not one to give up. Expedia should be ashamed of themselves and somebody in our state department should look into the "business" practices of these crooks.
