I booked and paid for a nights stay in a hotel in Spain through Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel, they did not have a note of our booking. I spent almost two hours on the phone to Expedia
(who refused to call me back) and they eventually offered us a hotel 15 miles out of town at twice the price. I said that was unacceptable and we headed back.
8 weeks later I am still waiting for a refund. I have been told that Expedia confirm with their customer before confirming with the hotel. This is not a good way to run a business. The phone call to Expedia cost about £50. Every time I phone them I am told that they are having issues with the hotel. My position is that those issues are not my fault, and that I should be recompensed.
I am just so disappointed as I used to love their site and have used them for years.
