Leon Uris describes beautifully the struggle for creating a Jewish state, the desire of Palestinian Arabs for their separate state, the politics of the British colonial system with the Jews and the Arabs, horrifying details of Hitler’s concentration camps.

The book is a great read!!!! Each and every single character has been desribed so beautifully that they all leave a lasting impression. You feel their pain their loss, you can relate to them. Even 8 years after reading the book i have an impression on Ari Ben Cannon, i cried with him when he did, of Kitty and Karen. Every thread in this plot is well woven.. well thought of and beautifully presented.

I can go on and on about the book, even writing this review is a pleasure because as I write I remember.... and i think i just may start reading the book once again!!!!
