I write this review on Euro Kids pre school after having sent my child there(Ameerpet branch) for nearly 3 years.
A couple of years ago, I was quiet sceptical about the way my child would fare as compared to children from other schools, some of which introduce the concept of'writing' in Nursery itself. I must say I am more than happy with my experience in this school!
I have personally witenessed how their concept of'age appropriate' teaching has really done what it is meant to deliver. In Euro Kids there is almost nil pressure on the child in Nursery, somewhat mild pressure in LKG and a sudden leap in the quantity of concepts, subject matter covered in UKG. In hindsight I feel that had there been any more pressure on my child in LKG, she may have resorted to the'rote' system of learning. Instead, now she is proactivley learning by understanding the concepts and ideas behind everything - be it spellings or addition or general knowledge.
Presently my child is in the middle of her UKG and without any undue pressure from us(her parents), my child is now able to comfortably read(albeit slow), write sentences and phonetically tell the spellings of any new words.
What I was particularly impressed with was that even though there is not much academic pressure on the child in lower classess, still a sense of discipline is instilled in them by variouis means! The most prominent of them is that the classes or for that matter any events start and end sharp on time.
This professionalism is reflected in the attitude of the staff starting from the Principal. Her full hands- on involvement in all daily activities of the school, refelcts in the results.
The school has a decent amount of extra curricular activities and seemingly no expenses are spared from their side in making almost all festivals/occassions memorable ones for the child .
I feel that the only downside is that even in UKG there is no concept of written exams. Still, due to her clarity in concepts and a proactive interest in learning, I have full confidence that my child may do well in any 1st standard school entrance exams.
Cheers! Thanks for reading and happy schooling.
