I have already been a Eureka Forbes customer in the past, when I bought a vacuum cleaner from them. The sales staff respond within hours to make the sale and will persuade you to go in for a more expensive product that what you planned for.
But once the sale is completed, the aftersales service and support is non-existent.After repeatedly asking for a spare part for my vacuum cleaner, I gave up and decided to dump it. I can’t even sell it since it does not work. The support staff will assure you that "your complaint will be attended promptly", but that never happens.
The problem with the product is quite simple and will not take more than a few minutes to fix, only if the support staff turned up.
A few days ago, I wanted to buy a water purifier. Since the other comparative products were out of my budget, I decided to buy an Aquaguard product. After having been put through a harrowing experience by the Eureka Forbes guys previously, I had serious second thoughts. But I went ahead since I thought the aftersales would have improved.
One call to the sales line and the sales team landed up in two hours. The sale was made, they gave me various reasons to buy a more expensive model – but I had already done my research and I stuck to my decision on the specific model.
Payment made, sale completed and the product was delivered the next day.I was promised that it would be installed when it is delivered.
After several days, I am still waiting for the product to be installed. All the while, I am buying 20 liter water bottles… 2 hours to make the sale and 1 day to deliver the product and 7+ days to install? Sounds quite ridiculous doesn’t it?
I have decided to return the unopened unit and ask for a refund. Hopefully the other brands will have better service.
Sorry Eureka Forbes, you lost a customer.
