RX 135  -My 7 yrs with bike , Pros and Cons

I am a normal guy like you having some hope and passion .. Started biking on 2000 just after my education. Got my first salary and started looking bikes. Getting a bike is not so easy if you don’t have support . lastly it took some few month to arrange money .

I was Planning for Yamaha 135 which was available in market in end of 2001 but there was a booking for 5000.00 and waiting period 2 months .. I was not  able to do that ,then I landed with Hero motor splendor .. that was my first bike .. such a beauty and smooth loved some couple of months and year. It has a good millage and look but still my dream always look out side something else . I crossed mid 2004 and started looking new bike as Yamaha, but so sad production stopped and no new model .. ohh.. those days I used to go some auto consultancies and done some test drive of old RX’s ,but not satisfied . finally one sat day morning i had been to old consultancy and got me dream bike .

The Yamaha RX135 I was purchased registered on Nov 2002 and only 14700 km covered , just 2 years old . It was clean but the owner not used this since last 3 months. I loved this and sold my splendor immediate and get the RX.

Front and back  tyre was old and company made , I changed the types to new one and seat cover. thats all I came to the local garage where i used to service my HH Splendor . that guy said "Sir from where you got this gem , what a bike is all new " . he has done a clean service immediately.

Servicing Done :
1. Gear oil and  2T
2. Changed the head light buld to a Halogen bulb.
3. Battery Charged
and some minor break repair , I was not worry for the service cost .. all done before 4 pm . after a nice body wash i had been rush to teple for puja .that 3 kms to temple made me like i am driving to heaven .. what a pleasure and pick up .. I thought why i did not purchased this machine 2 yrs back.


Since then my RX is always RX , it has a dignity and proud . it proved all the angel. people in traffic post will look at you , don’t drive fast still you will enjoy driving.

I had been to lot of places with this bike without any problem . I traveled to Putaparthy from Bangalore (180*2 =360km) no problem . Nandi Hills it climbed the mountain like a monkey . had been to Mysore and Sivasamudram all the trips I enjoyed without any problem.

Bike always single handed .. we some friends arranged a trip to kerala .. night travel .. we were 8 with 4 bikes and covered 600 km in 2 days without any problem .

What a bike really love it .. I did not do any alter just the new look only type changed and break shoes. recently i changed the battery and clutch plate .

Bike still going great .. I am using this last 4 years without any problem and too happy with my decision. I am getting millage approx 42km /ltr in city driving  which is the beauty, I covered 18000+ kms with my RX
