For the past several years my daughter’s high school has sold the Entertainment Books to earn money for various sports groups or clubs within the school. And of course each year I buy one of them. But one of the joys of owning this book is that I can register it online at their website and go there periodically to get updated coupons in my area for restaurants, movies and clothing stores, just like in the book itself.

You can also order more books from the online site and you can order for any state! This is really good if you are interested in ordering a book for a family member. They make great gifts for Christmas or for the Newly Wed or for the child who lives off from home.

The Online Entertainment Book

When I sign in to my membership at www.entertainment.com I always find a warm and friendly welcome back Leah! And in the very center of the homepage I always find the “Here’s What’s New” for my area, where I can go to find out what new coupons are available to me for restaurants, clothing stores, book stores, movies and many others.

These coupons are printable from my printer and are very easy to use, just like the coupons that are in the Entertainment Book. However printable coupons are only available if I already own an Entertainment Book from my area. The savings are up to 50%.

Over on the left hand side of the home page I always find “Preview the Savings”, which will take me to links for: restaurants, hotels and travel, shopping and services, sports and attractions and merchant index. These links are very handy for me because Jacksonville is a very large place and there are a lot of things going on all the time and by using the website after buying my book I can continue to save throughout the year in addition to the book.

I also find on the left hand side of the homepage “Member Benefits” which allow me to save with my card, print coupons, find online offers, get movie tickets, and member tools.

Other Stuff

In the Member Tools section I can register my book, set up my profile so that I can continue to save throughout the year, buy more books and register them as well. With member pricing I can save $5.00 per new book I order, so this is a greater savings if I want to order books for family members that live throughout the States or in the same State that I live in.

Like I stated in the beginning of my review my daughter’s high school sells these books each year. For the past 3 years (including this year) her honors class has sold them to earn money for their Junior Prom. The Prom is going to cost these kids over 10,000.00 dollars! So this was a great way for them to earn money. (Of course they did other things, but this was the best seller for them.)

They also offer a search area on the left hand side for you to check out the books available in other states and Canada. This is a nice feature because you can also look at the books from online.

How I Feel

Well like I already stated we have been buying this book for a few years now and I suppose we will for a few more. My daughter will be graduating next year and off to college with my son on her heals! Well not so close to her heals, because he is 8, but his school also sells this book and year after next I will start to support his school. I don’t buy two of them for our area. (But I do support my son’s schools in other activities.)

The book cost us $20.00 each year and we save way more than that! Just coupons for places like McDonalds®, Burger King®, Wendy’s® and others pays for the book. And then I go and register it online and get more savings.

This year we are going to try the movie tickets. The way that works is the movie must be at least 2 weeks old and the tickets only cost us $5.50 each plus a $2.50 s/h charge. The tickets are here within 7 to 10 days. And with “Lord of The Rings The Two Towers” out as of today, we will go to see it at the end of the year. And I will also get dinner too because of the savings on the movie tickets! Ha! A rare treat indeed!


This past summer my husband and I went to St. Augustine Florida for a weekend trip. We used the coupons in our book and the ones I printed from the online site and we only spent, with hotel and food just under $150.00. We got the hotel discounted, the food discounted and the attraction tickets discounted. A huge savings! Most are buy one get one free type deals.

Registering is very easy each year! I simply take the number that is on the Entertainment Card that comes with my book and type it in at the online site. The site knows instantly that this book has now been given an owner. When I have to call about hotel rooms while traveling, there is an 800 number on the card that I call and they verify all my information. And they always check to make sure I am registered online! This is good as well.

The site is very easy to use and get around and I have had no problems with it at all. I wonder though if they will ever offer me a free book! I mean, I have already bought 4 of them and will most likely by at least 10 more! One can only hope!

They do make great gifts like I said. My daughter who lives in Texas is enjoying hers! And for the family member who has everything, well consider one of these books!
