Coorg is a great destination in India. It is known as the Scotland of the East. One can find good activities and lush green mountains in Coorg. We had a memorable stay at a Coorg Resort - Kadkani Resort.
This is a fairly new resort that started in October 2007. We got to enjoy a number of activities, including golf in their 9-hole golf course. Kadkani is on the banks of Cauvery River and we enjoyed river rafting. We also enjoyed bird watching around the coffee plantations surrounding the resort.
It was a laid-back vacation. Whole family enjoyed it. Good food at the restaurant. All sight seeing places in Coorg - Dubare, Madikeri, Nisarghadhama, Bylekuppe are all within 30 to 50 kms of the resort. Kids enjoyed the stay and the staff at the resort were very friendly.
I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
