Pros:
Infrastructure, Aircrafts, food
Cons:
female cabin crew attitude

I have flown Emirates several times. The first time I was on Emirates was when I was coming down to India for my wedding.

Then I thought Emirates was fun, they care for you by providing delciously
hot meals, clean and decent aircraft and all the wine you want (upon request). I stay away from alcohol, so I was offered a choice of variety of fruit juices, tea, coffee etc- what more would you want!

Fast forward and I’m a mother of three boys! I’ve travelled on Emirates even when I’ve been pregnant, and although they’ve not gone out of their way to help a pregnant woman, they do allow you to board the aircraft before others and provide you extra blankets and pillows if you’d like.

Emirates never goes short on food, and there’ve been times when I have ordered two meals within an hour!

I have found them to pay special attention to kids and infants. The stewards go out of their way to strike a chord with you if you’re travelling with kids.

Their frequent flyer is (skywards) is pretty liberal in rewards.

What I don’t like about Emirates:
---
Emirates especially on the India-Dubai route is patronized mostly by Indians and Asians. Such flights are usually operated by efficient cabin crew, but I’ve seen traces of racism among some of the European cabin crew members. I hate to say this but the australian cabin crew members of Emirates are bit racist. Off late I have witnessed Emirates hiring many pretty young things (PYT) from east europe, and my opinion is they need more training than just the white skin they carry.

Overall a very decent airline. Flights out of Dubai to Europe, America and Australia gets lot of attention but the flights to Indian sub continent gets the step-motherly treatment. I have flown the European and Asian routes more than I can remember, so you know I’m not just making up.

Thanks to all those who sent me M2M asking me to write more often. I guess I’m back on Mouthshut and I will spice it up with more honest reviews.

Cheers,
SG
