Recently I had a chance to use the Emirates Air on seven international flights. Except for an unavoidable delay in Dubai, every flight was enjoyable, catered by professionals with the highest standard for any airlines in the world.

While other airlines shuns to help their passengers, Emirates actually go out of their way to assist their passenger needs. After arriving from London, I was going through the check post for the transit passengers to take my next flight to Nairobi. It was a long walk through never ending corridors and I was carrying a heavy flight bag. Some how, during the walk, I twisted my wrist and during the flight to Nairobi, it became painful. While rubbing my wrist, one of the stewardess asked me if I needed any help, and within minutes she arrived with a first aid box and put a neat bandage around my wrist. Needless to say, when the plane landed in Nairobi, I was fine.

On another occasion, my flight from Dubai to New Delhi had to be changed and Emirates took care of my hotel reservations in New Delhi, and arranged to send a cab from Radisson Hotel to pick me up. These types of personal services are un heard of with Air India when I was in a worst situation with them in New York, and even our own Air Canada, without realizing that good customer service would bring the people back again and again!

    While you are inside one of the Emirates flights , there is never a moment to be bored. In addition to several magazines and newspapers supplied during the flight, each seat is equipped with a video television, through which you can watch a number of movies, listen to music and video channels, play video games or track down the progress of your flight in graphic details. The attendants are constantly asking if you would care for any tea/ coffee or other beverages. The food is served hot with the choice of beverages including alcohol of your choice. Their food is always tasty and plenty.

    Emirates Air is based in Dubai, one of the best countries in the world with one of the finest airport for passenger comfort. Always with meticulously clean washrooms, plenty of comfortable airconditioned lounges, good signs for transit passengers, and if you want to shop while waiting for your flight, go to the shopping arcade and enjoy the biggest duty free shopping mall in the world, built right inside the airport. I bought a Ray Ban for $75.00 US here, while it cost $200.00 in Canada. A bottle of finest Scotch for a fraction of price we pay elsewhere. I would have bought more, but my inflight bag was already overcrowded and heavy.

   For frequent flyers, Emirates also reward them with bonus comforts, such as upgrading the econo class to business class at no extra cost, entering your name to   horse races, discounts on hotel rooms and so on. If Emirates Airlines ever achieve a monopoly to fly every international centres in the world, there will be much less complaints among the passengers.

Having flown in many airlines, including British Airways, KLM, Air Canada, Air India, Al Italia, Swiss Air and seen various airports around the world, I must take my hat off to the Emirates Airlines and their finest run airport in Dubai. I have seen the best and the worst during my travels. And at the end of my 7th flight with the Emirates, from Dubai to London, I was able to say ’’fasten your seat belt’’ in Arabic for a week.

Yes, I will go back to Emirates again!
