Pros:
Nice hospitality. Comfortable journey
Cons:
Overbooked always. Long Arabic Speeches

I have travelled twice with Emirates From India to Dubai (India-DXB). On both occasions, me and my fellow passengers had to wait to board after the security check. They always had some trouble during boarding.
Maybe because Emirates is quite orthodox and strict since its managed by the Dubai Sheikhs.

The check in is brisk. You can reach the waiting lounge after all the procedures within 10 minutes if you don’t stop midway. Inflight service is also excellent. All the airhostesses are mostly British. (UAE people have this inclination towards having British people on the rolls). The hospitality is great.

On board, they have this instructions video which airs in English as well as Arabic. That can irritate you most of the time since a lot of people on board don’t actually speak or understand Arabic. But its customary. The food is good except that if you like hot bread, you won’t find it. Buns were cold.

The inflight entertainment system is the best they have. Choose from 6 Radio Stations and 5 TV Channels which will air your favourite soaps. That Cute TV on every seat with headphones kept me busy. They have a different programme for every sector which includes soaps, movies and documentaries.

On my return (DXB to India), every time I found that the flight was overbooked. First time, I reached 15 mins late for check-in and they told me that the flight is full. They even offered me a free stay overnight, food etc and a free return ticket for my next trip. Wow! I grabbed that offer. I have been told by my cousin living in Dubai and that with Emirates, you can always get free tickets like these. So next time, if you have the courage to get a little late for check-in, you might get a free return ticket for your next trip. My cousin also told me that since the flights are always overbooked, Emirates has its agents roaming about in the Boarding Lounge scouring for people who would want to stay back (thereafter offer them a free ticket and make them stay back so that other eager business passengers who are adamant to go can board the flight)

If you are travelling to Middle east, don’t sit near the window. Always prefer the isle seats. It has lot of leg space and window seats get got because of the hot weather outside. Emirates has a variety of cuisines available, always ask for the options and then choose. They also let you choose on the website or while making the booking. They also have some gift accessories and in-flight mobile phone services.
