Friends, I had the opportunity of flying Emirates while I was on my way to USA with my wife.
First I will talk about the timings of the flight which started at a very convenient time of 8.30am from
Chennai International Airport. The check in counter had very long queue of passengers but to my surprise the assistants going around who gave us the Tags and a pen to write our name and address and guiding us upto the counters was excellent. Inspite of the heavy crowd they were so fast I was happy when my luggage was booked and I was given my boarding pass upto Dubai, and also from Dubai to London .
Next I will write about the on board service by the pretty airhosstess, they not only help you in taking you upto your seat they assist ypu to keep your overhead hand luggage. The smiling faces and courteous talk make one feel at home. The interiors are marvellous , the aircrat which I travelled had a ceiling painted like a blue night sky with twinkiling stars.
The food and the beverages are simply unbeatable. Since I have travelled in many different airlines this time I felt so delighted , unusually I ate a lavish continental food which suited most to my tongue and stomach. The flying hours of 4 to Dubai went smoothly, with the best equipped seats with a TV screen on each seat and with different film and music channels available to us.
The first two hours I enjoyed for the hospitality and the music through the headphones. Since I have to travell further to London I went for a warm sleep for an hour and the landing is so smooth at Dubai, as they show the whole landing with a camera fixed at the nose of pilots cabin.
While landing we see the whole Dubai, the air track and the glittring lights of airport. I saw on the TV screen the whole landing as if I am flying the and landing this flight. It is a wonderful , wonderful experince.
Next after landing the Emirates staff were very courteios on ground and they guided us how to proceed for our next flight to London. The airport is the best and clean. The whole airport is built in such a way that the gates numbers are in a very continuous order and any layman can follow easily the next gate where he has to fly for the connecting flight.
The waiting lounge is another beautiful place, next comes the duty free shops which are simply grand and great. No passenger will miss these glittering shops . The custom and immigration people are very fast in clearing us for the next flight. I had a few hours left for my next flight , meantime the Emirates gave us food coupons , the hotel called Safar, provided us unlimited food and beverages till our departure to London.
The next lap of journey again by Emirates which was around 9 flying hours was excellent. The refreshments, the food and the the smilimg airhostesses made our journey very intersting and comfortable.
Again the punctuality of the flight is to be mentioned here. It took off on dot and we landed at the Gatwick Airport of London on time. Since from there onwards we have to fly to Houston, USA, we were again guided and assisted by the grond staff of Emirates.
I will recommend all my friends and relatives to travel by Emirates which has very advanced type of aircrafts with experienced Pilots and the staff.
