Story:

Dower delves into the Japanese and American sources to reconstruct and explain the 6years of American occupation after World WarII. From Hirohito to MacArthur, democracy and emperor whorship, writing a new constitution, war crimes and guilt; this book explained prevailing sentiments and consequences of decisions made high and low. Why I started it that I'am trying to learn more about the history and culture of Japan. I was eager to pick up a book about the Japanese perspective and experience starting.
