Well, going through the Eleven Minutes was like crossing the sand dunes, following a mirage. And yes! that was soothing in its own, once you reached the zenith. It took me a couple of days, going through
the leaves, each one was so perfectly scripted that even away from the book, the mind, the brain remained engulfed on the coming chapters.
W ith the inputs of sexual connotations and real life sentiments, the book is like ruffling through the life of a person amongst us. It could be just about anyone amongst us. And not to mention the diary entries. They were in brief and still full of the miseries of life.
Portraying a character, the protagonist as a socially unacceptable prostitute, Paulo still has added a dimension to her persona that though unacceptable in the open world, she still remains attracting.
The biggest part I loved about Eleven Minutes is the moral it conveys. To live your life, to dream and then to chase the dream, suffering and still enjoying is the life each mortal today carves for. The social status and reckoning come only with the mercenary part. And our heroine has just about put all the social taboos to the bowel, and has encharmed the readers.
Paulo Coelho does certainly have the magic that takes to keep his readers glued to the text. Its miraclous that the same lady if we meet in the market today, we would just be ignorqant enough not ven to ask how is she, but in our conscience would admire all our life.
Two words for Mr. Coelho: Just Great!!
