i really love this book. It makes me understand the nature of sex. It depicts the story of a woman with such a young age face the world with so much courage, strenght and determination.
This
book taught me one great lesson about love and relationship and that is learning to love the person without possessing them.
It Inspired me to handle every challenges in life with pride and dignity.
It also changed my perspective in life. 11 minutes made me view other people as a whole human being. It taught me not to judge a person by his or her profession but to see the other side of a person - their light and goodness.
The book is full of emotions and i think paulo is too emotional hahaha... seriously i gained insights about woman’s feelings. I was inspired by the fact the we can boost someone else gloomy spirit and can make a difference in one’s life simply by seeing their personal light.
Aside from juicy love story and sex scenes, the author also tackles something about the history of prostitution, masochism and pain etc, which makes the book interesting and informative.
Meanwhile, What i find fascinating about this book is how the author revealed that sex only last for 11 minutes and describe how people spend so much money, time and risk for a fleeting encounter in brothels.
However, in some part of the book there is something missing... the thread and connection of story is lost. You may wonder why and how things happen in some scenes which i think the weakness of this book... but over all i recommend this book to everyone. Enjoy reading.
