ELECTRONIC MOSQUITO SQUATTER?OH My Gosh! What a name! This is the latest
GIZMO to hit the markets. I have seen it everywhere ?right from
small shops to the super-markets u will
see these things displayed brightly!!!
Years back when I was learning to play
badminton, my father used to teach me how to hold the racquet, aim at the shuttle and
Bingo! hit a gr8 shot!!! I guess this badminton training has helped me so immensely that This E.M.S. is used very accurately by me to hit the
MOSQUITOES?We all have been
victims of these deadly creatures. I have been in fact experimenting with various kinds of repellents to keep away these mosquitoes.
1.Coils2.Mats3.Herbal Incense Sticks 4.Odomos cream The first 3 were harming me more than the mosquitoes, as I had to endure
severe throat infection and stuffy nose..
It was so unnerving that I had to apply coats and coats of
ODOMOS cream to keep them at bay. The cream is no doubt good and though I was not allergic to this one, yet I could not bear to hear the
zzzzzzzing sound whenever the mosquitoes used to circle around my ears.
It was really funny to be dressed like an
Egyptian MUMMY ?completely covered from head to toe so as to avoid the
GIANT ATTACK during sound sleep. Inspite of all this precaution, I was always bitten by them and how I wished
TO AVENGE these cruel beings!!!!
Finally, my prayers were answered when I got my own
Electronic Mosquito Squatter. A. It is in the shape of
Badminton Racquetand has wires bound similar to an ordinary racquet.
B.2 pencil cells are needed to activate this one.
C.It gets
electrically charged if u press a button. Soon a red light will appear and then u are ready to
attack the mosquitoes. Once the latter comes in contact with the electrically charged wires, they are subject to paralysis & some die instantly .U can clear the mess on the floor by sweeping.
D.They are
odor free and very handy.
E. They are priced between
Rs150/-to Rs 200/-It all depends on how good u re at bargaining.
F.Looks like truckloads of this one has arrived in the market. U have from
USA (local ulhas nagar maal) companies to made in China maal. All are good and do the good job of hitting the mosquitoes provided u have a good
AIM AND LOTS OF PATIENCE.Regarding my own experience, I was so
ANGST with these bloodsuckers, I decided to go with
?KHOON KE BADLE KHOON? ideology. Whenever I have this racquet, I resemble very much like
Samurai out on a
MISSION and get into
hitting SPREE by efficiently
maneuvering this one. And feel a sigh of relief when the task is achieved with success and like a
Mighty warrior be proud of my laurels.Whenever I use it, these
incidents keeping coming back as flashes of memory:
1.As a kid, I had heard a story of a
KING who could hit
7 AT ONE BLOW. All his subjects were proud of him and loved their king was the
Bravest Warrior. But nobody had heard him of going to wars and wondered how this title came to him. Till one day a young man asked the King himself and the King said: Yes I can hit 7 at one blow ?
.THEY ARE FLIES.......
(Am I stepping into the shoes of the king?????? Oh God!)2.Remember the famous song from
HUMJOLI ---DHAL GAYA DIN, HO GAYI SHYAM, JANE DO JAANA HAI..The lead pair
Jeetendra and Leena Chandavarkar on whom this song was choreographed was done on a badminton court.
Holding the racquet, they aim the shuttle and sing-dance while the long volley goes on? U never see the shuttle falling down or the lead pairs starting a fresh serve. I have remarked every time I used to see this song played on T.V.Channels:
YEH LOG BADMINTON KHEL RAHEIN HAI YA MACCHHAR MAAR RAHEIN HAIN?????
Who would have ever thought that this could be reality 40 yrs back???BTW this E.M.S. can be even used as a
weapon of self-defence for women(Hee! hee! A
multipurpose racquet). Take it with u while travelling and strike on it any eve-teasers who messes up with u.
?BADE SE BADE MACCHHAR BHI DAR JAYENGE!!!WHAT A WISHFUL THINKING!!!!!I have written this revu on a
lighter vein and hope not to upset any Msians.
