I had stopped writing reviews at mouthshut due to time crunch and when I found the opportunity and call to write a revieew on this cute lovely teleserial, Ek Chabhi Hai Pados Main, being shown on Star Plus every Sunday night, I could not resist.This serial deserves special mention and must watch from everyone especially in an era where dumb teleserials with all negativities and bankruptcy of creativity have taken place and slots on TV serials, this one along with few selected one are the only saving grace and in fact treat to watch, just like water drops in desert.
Long ago when TV was new in India there was a serial Nukkad. We may call Ek Chabhi Hai Pados Main(ECHPM) as modern Nukkad, covering the warmt of positivity and tenderness in relationships, human face of every person, affection all making a good place to stay for which even viewer want to be part of, KarnalGanj. At KarnalGanj families share pain and happiness of each other. A time where the scoeity is becoming full of small hearted mean self cocooned people this serial brings breeze of large hearted people living together and making a life which just smit us. They teach us how lucky are those who have such large heart and feelings for others, can work as good neighbours and share pains of others too and each home looks like own home.long ago the same pattern was somewher in our society where any child would enter any house of neighbour would play whole day eat there and sleep their carefreely.now you can't imagine this.in the era of Nitihari!
Full of All ingredients: I can bet if any other teleserial is dealing with such sensitive way of exploration of human emotions including roamance, comedy, warmth and tender. Every episode, mind it every episode ends with some positive note and it's totally free of violance and negativity unlike other serials at star zee and sony where every one is involved in conspiracies. Same time you ahve got clean shaved SardarJi laadla jugle playing Hanuman in Ramleela and Mushtaaq playing as Jatayu. Every kind of message is given from communal harmoney to old age problem to migration to anti-andhvishwas and importance of touch of soil, everything. Underlining this world is a hidden romance running between Sandeep Babu and Urmi who share so clean and lovely relationship but still don't confess, and the other mohalla guys running behind Urmi trying to impress her with different ways. The way their romance has been captured will even leave lessons to learn for king of romance Yash Chopra! The background music coveres excellently too.
Best direction and technicalities:A very sensitive approach has been used kudos to the director who very convincingly carry on everys tory and character with every episode. Very cleaverly he shifts one story to other story with episode that you never feel thigns disconnected. Unlike anytoher serials where extreme recurrence of camera and sound is used causing headache, this man sets camera at perfect angle and unfolds the scenes in plain silky ways. Even camera does great narration, like potrayal of seeing each other from their rooftop for the couple in love Sandeep and Urmi. everything si perfact man.
Excellent peformances: None of the actors try to go over board or try to deliver throat stripping dialogues and overt facil expression. Neither it is needed as it is really the msot civilized teleserial on TV. But specialy mentions of the lead protagonists and the romantic pair of Urmi and Sandeep is must to describe. Varun Bhadola as Sandeep send messages to many collegues of him as an excellent actor delivering one of the most wonderful performance on Indian TV. Urmi is a young chirpy lovely cute girl with whom anyone woudl fall in love as I have fallen and I am very much confident that if she makes it to Hindi cinema, she will very soon emerge as the top most actress. She has something which only Madhuri Dixit had. Sucha beauty with such agrace and childishness curshes your hurt.
All the actors have done justice.
*Final Statements: Please catch this serial if you don;t watch it. Sunday night by 10:00 PM or later. This si the best serial we have and wish that instead of Saas bahu maiyaka etc etc this serial never ends and keep our positive attitude alive giving us feel of warmth of humane qualities. I am sure even it's one glimpse would you amke fan of this teleserial which is really like water in desert. This serial may be taken as gold standard for other directors who are constantly makign nonesensical house drama with headless conspiracies and chwingum like stories showing how negative characters of society have become top of us! The only negative part with this serial is that it's once in week. Please make it daily.
