Pros:
Excellent ambience and food!!
Cons:
The lift!

Surprising why Ebony has not generated a review!!! Probably one of the places one would really like to take a person ( probably of the other sex ) for a real good meal mixed with good ambience, service
and environment!!!

Ebony is situated on the top floor of the Barton Centre one of the taller commercial buildings in bangalore. It is part of the Ivory Towers Hotel - run by a person rajesh Rajaram - who believes in providing value for money propositions whether in the form of Hotel Rooms or Food.

The only hassle with Ebony is the ride up to the 13th Floor. Evenings are okay but if for a working lunch it can be quite an ordeal. The restaurant is split into three - an indoor portion and two separate terrace seatings - which can be covered / uncovered using pull downs. There is also a small party room. But if you sit outside in the evenings / night with a drink in your hand enjoying the lovely food you may never want to eat inside a closed room again!!!The interior decor is nothing much to rave about. Ebony’s emphasis is on quality rather than wasting time on frills.

Sitting outside looking down onto the colourful lights of MG Road and its vicinity is really beautiful and definitely adds to the flavour of the food - how really I do not know but there is definitely a difference!

Service has always been good as the waiters and captains are always watching when glasses are bottoming and plates are emptying!!! Portions have always been good - and never has there been reason to complain.

The food speciality here is Parsi - but they have a mix of this and that just to satisfy everybody’s taste. But the evenings to go are Thursdays and Fridays when the Thai evenings are on and chef Gautham is at his best. The ambience with the smell and taste of good food is definitely a hitting combination!!! And if the spice is too much do not quench your mouth with a drink - open your mouth and imbibe the cool air of Bangalore!!!

Prices are in general a little above normal but everything comes at a price!!!

For your information they have just opened up a new Cocktail lounge called the 13th Floor - a must visit!!
