The
Game of cricket is a passion among South Asians. So, when EA releases a product like ’’Cricket Gaming’’, they should really be good to please gamers in this subcontinent.

First of all, the batting is really hard in Cricket 2005. Though at first it may seem hopeless to bat ... after much patience and perseverance the efforts will begin to pay off. EA Cricket 2005 rewards batsmen for patience and good stroke play.

So do a bit of Research. Find out the best batting strokes for every situation. Sooner or later you shall be able to score nicely without losing too many wickets.

When you start playing Cricket 2005 - you will be very pleased with the details and graphics effects generated by EA. The batting, bowling and fielding have a lot more subtleties. The background sound is equally good.

The message boards, on Cricket ’05 game, over the internet are full of people who are complaining about batting difficulties they have come to face. Though at face value it may sound very true, a deeper insight will lead you to conclude that Cricket ’05 is just plain tough but isn’t unplayworthy

Let me talk about the features provided by this game:
1) Cricket conditions that can be suited to your needs - day or night matches, humid or hot or cool weather, etc.
2) Cricket configuration as per your liking - 10 over / 20 over / 50 over match or a test match cricket.
3) Besides one day and test matches - 20 twenty cup, English & Australian league matches.
4) Training sessions to get you on your way in batting or bowling.

Good Stuff about Cricket 2005:
1) The detailing of players is really amazing. Plus, many range of emotions that a cricketer can produce are generated by this game leading to a very realistic gaming experience. The many options to play a game will suit everybody’s likings.
2) Game is tough. You can’t just go finish off your opposition in hurry. Concentration, grit and fine stroke play are required to get your batting innings in good shape. Bowling is the same. You have to experiement and learn the nuances.

Bad Stuff about Cricket 2005:
1) Commentary is bad - pretty plain...and sometimes quite awkward.
2) Very little documentation. EA Cricket ’05 was released in a hurry. That means...very little explanation of the nuances to bat, bowl and field.
3) Fielding seems unrealistic, at times, with opposition somehow managing to field almost every good shot.

To Conclude: EA Cricket ’05 is not a waste of money. But for a thousand bucks...it is costly and mostly appealing to die hard cricket gamers.
