Nor can I take it to the shade of my garden to read!

E-Books are a disappointment to me. I bought a friends anthology/cook book, and was disappointed it was on a CD; I’m now looking for it in beautiful REAL book form! I mean, I can’t move my computer to the kitchen, nor move my stove to the office. Won’t work!

Reading a book means relaxing, to me. How I love sitting in my back garden, with a cool breeze blowing and reading to my hearts content. When it is cold, or too hot, or rains, I sit in my ’comfy’ chair inside, relax and get involved so deeply in the book I am holding in my hands and reading.

I love the feel of the paper, the simple weight of reality in my hands, the ability of turning page-after-page of adventure (no, I NEVER skip to peek at the ending). I have control of when and what part of the book I want to stop reading for the time being. I detest being in the middle of reading something and having my server knock me off-line! Just WHO should be in control when reading?!

When I am unable to sleep at night, I always have my book handy to lull me back into a peaceful slumber. Nope! Can’t take an e-book to bed with you, either!

Give me the written word, whether it be a novel, cookbook, or non-fiction, in REAL book-form any day (or night)! Hopefully, my fairly extensive library will be a legacy to my family some day....along with my CDs of music, ONLY!
