Dupe-Movers And Packers. Review on Duke Packers and Movers

Hi, I used Duke packers and movers for shifting household things from Whitefield to Kanakpura and Yashwantpur after checking online ratings. On first call after listing out all the things to be shifted to both the places they quoted 6000 rs, which was 1000 rs lesser than all other companies and since we didn't have too much luggage (as only 2 of us were staying there) and previous shifting experience where they took rs 3000 from Whitefield to Yashwantpur I agreed instantly. They agreed to send 1 small truck and 1 medium truck at 11am next morning. I also called and reminded them to get enough bubble wrap for the paintings to be shifted for a future exhibition. Mr.Aman was the person I spoke to the first time.

Next day after a couple of phone calls and them saying they can't send 2 trucks, it is too much work, get some other company etc etc they sent 1st truck at around 1pm and 2nd at 3pm. As soon as they came, they said it 7000 rs not 6000 as they promised, I told them Mr.Aman had quoted the amount, they said there is no Aman, Mr.Yusuf is the only one in charge. We had to shift, no matter what so we agreed. The boxes they got were also overused and not strong, not enough bubble wrap for all the paintings. 4 workers and 3 of us started packing and it was done by 4:30 pm and 1 truck was sent to Yashwantpur, where they unloaded, no unpacking was done and 500 rs tip was given and we followed other one to Kanakpura road to aol ashram flat, which reached there at 8pm, unloading was done, with assembly of 1 cot.

I noticed 2 legs of couch were broken, they told screw came out we will fix it, then they shifted it up, and 3rd leg also broke, they forced the leg back into the place and said its fixed, next morning the sofa collapsed with all 3 legs broken, we called our carpenter to look, he said screw didnt come out, the joint and metal plate are broken(I'll be uploading the pic of the same soon),

2 legs of the fridge were missing too. So was a gas booklet. Leather couch had ripped and heavy chair was kept on it directly on which someone sat, deep impressions were there, and couch was stretched, when pointed out they denied its presence itself, they said I can't see it, it was like this only and you have to pay 1000 rs extra because its far. So we paid them 9000 rs (including 500rs tip at each place) I told them about broken things, to which they said, call Yusuf/Mohammad they will send carpenter and pay you for the damaged.

Next day I called them asking for the carpenter, they said they will send in 2 days as they are busy, 3 days after also no carpenter. No apology for any damage whatsoever.

after 3 days we went to Yashwantpur to unpack, no gas booklet was found, which they claimed they packed in one of the boxes, and sent. Cardboard boxes, were ripped, with clothes falling out and PAINTING which was the most precious thing and they were told to handle it with care was RIPPED, 4 INCH tear was there.

When I called to inform Mr. Mohammad said these things happen, what can be done now, I can't send a carpenter also as we are busy, I can get the painting STITCHED if you want, next week. When I told I'll complain, he said go ahead no problem, was very rude and took no responsibility. He started screaming, he said you should have shifted things in the car. Each conversation with him was unpleasant.

They give no bill. Everything is finalized on phone, which they deny or change as per their wish. No apology or action taken if goods are damaged.

We have shifted with same things to same areas before, for lesser cost, better workers, and no damage. I truly regret my decision of using this company for shifting.

This review is 100% true. I am heartbroken with the damage they did.
