Shocking to know nobody has rated this beautiful movie upto now. That just shows that movies which are meant to be watched hardly get rated.
Believe me this movie has so many things , not only a different theme which has never been repeated again but even not having stars who were well known it was a hit.
It starred only one well known star and that was Sanjay Khan rest all were new artiste of whom one I knew personally and that was Sudhir who stayed in Lower Parel in a building, sad to say he expired due to heavy drinking as his talents were later went unnoticed.

The story is based on a blind and lame boy, who meet on the streets of Bombay, the lame boy has a sister who he cannot find, he loves to study but due to lack of funds he cannot, and then he meets this boy Sudhir who is blind, their friendship develops and the blind boy tell’s him to continue to study as he will earn and pay for it, by singing on streets.
While singing and earning their money, they come across a girl Baby Farida who gets attached to them and her brother is Sanjay Khan, she is sick and has a nurse attending her daily needs it turns out to be the lame boy’s sister who pretends not to recognise him.
There are songs like ,Chahunga mein tujey saanjh savere phir bhi kabhi aab naam ko tere awaaz mein na dunga, awaaz mein na dunga chahunga mein tujey saanjh saaverey.

Gudiya kab tak roothi rahogi kab tak na hasogi, dekhoji kiran si lehr ay aaye re aaye haasi aaye gudiya.

These boys are also very much attached to this small girl,
but somehow some incident part these two friends as exactly what I do not remember but I think he goes back to his sister, somehow realises his friend means more to him and come’s back later on, but sadly the girl is dead I am not exactly sure. But believe it is a beautiful movie.

Koi jabba raah ha na paaye merey saang gaaye ke pag,pag deep jaliyaye meri dosti tera pyar.
This movie deserved the filmfare award anyday, not like these days the movie which needs to get an award does not and the one that does not deserve it gets it as those days the judges could not be bought and neither could the awards.
Sorry I had to speak my mind out as I have seen movies which deserved the awards never got them and the ones which did’nt got, so something must be wrong somewhere.
Anyway this was a movie worth watching to make you feel more human as humanity is hardly left now.
How one friend does something which he cannot do knowing he is blind,helps his lame friend achieve it.
Yes folk’s watch this movie if you get it anytime whether you know the language or not if I am not mistaken it could’ve been a Satyajit Ray’s film not too sure.
But watch it for my 50th this was worth to write about. So Bye for now Sushama.
