Comparisons with Chandra Barot’s Don were inevitable when Farhan Akhtar’s Don released last year. The latter movie may be a remake of the former one but the two are poles apart when it comes to technique, style and thrills. Don (2006) score above the original and how! The best thing about Don (2006) was the climax. Farhan is a genius director and he proved it once again with Don. SRK as "Don" was superb. He enacted his part very well. I would not like to be biased here ( I’m a huge fan of Srk’s) but the King Khan did a better job than what the Big B did in the original. He has also begun to be comfortable with action scenes (If he was good in the action scenes of "Main hoon naa", he was better here). Priyanka was good. The scene where she rescues Don from the hospital got her accolades from the "aam junta". Boman was first-rate. He’s one of the finest actors we have in Bollywood. Ompuri was terribly wasted. Kareena was okay. She looked very glamourous and stepped into the H-Bomb’s shoes beautifully. The music was good. Don (2006) proved critics wrong once more. It turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2006.
