Below is the extract of the complaint I sent to Dishnet DSL via e-mail:-


RE: Frequent disrupted internet connection


I refer to the subject matter and would like to make a complaint about the service you provide. I am having this problem since Aug 2003. Each time I contact your customer service department, the customer service staff sends a technician to my residence to check the cable. And upon checking and rectifying the cable connection, your customer service staff assures me a smooth internet connection without any problems in the future. When your technicians came in Aug 03, they mentioned to me that the reason for the frequent disruption in the internet connection is due to the cable wires/cables being rusty which was already changed then. However, I don?t understand as to why I am having frequent connection problems despite changing the cable wires.


Your organisation is very prompt in sending the bills to your customers and collecting monthly payments without fail. You also call your customers without fail if your payment is not received within the date expected. However, I regret to say that you are not providing the respective service. For. e.g. upon changing the cable wires, you should ensure that your customers get smooth internet connection so that they need not call up the customer service hotline everyday to vent their frustration about this matter. From the above experience I strongly feel that your organisation is irresponsible, not customer-oriented and not doing a proper job.


When I made a complaint on 29/4/04, the technicians who checked the cable told me that I won?t be having any internet problems as it?s been tied up with Tata Indicom. However, I regret to inform you that it does not make any difference to me as I still incur the same problems. Presently, due to the rainy season, I have frequent problems in getting connected to the internet. I don?t understand how the rains affect the cables since your technicians have already changed the cable when they came in Aug 03.


I would appreciate someone take up this matter into consideration immediately. Please take note that if a permanent solution is not found for this problem or if nothing is been done in a weeks time, you can send your technician to my residence and remove the cable connection. I shall source for an alternative internet connection. I do not wish to go through this pain of calling you and writing letters of complaint over and over again.
