I have Just had a bad experience with Dish Tv affiliates,

Due to water proofing works the Dish antennae on top of our home was disturbed.

The signal thus became non existent, and we called up on 1860 180 3474 toll free , The complaint was given and we had to wait for 24 hrs ,but thats Ok. We were also told that there will be a visiting charge of Re 150 + taxes = 175 which we agreed , naturally .

However when the personal came and saw , he said that since there was some asbestos sheet in the way of the signal , the dish needs to be shifted by about 4 metres away from its current position for which an INSTALLATION charge of Rs 225 + taxes is sought.

Tell me then , for wht purpose is this installation charge taken ?

What is the reason that this charge is taken in ADDITION to the Rs. 175 taken from us for visiting?

What then comprises the VISIT , what constitutes the amount of labour needed to be done for correcting the signal strength?

What will be the charge for re aligning the dish then , is two Nails and two holes drilled worth
Rs 225 !!??

I repeat that NOT one extra item was used by the techician to "Install" the dish.
THEN WHAT IS THE BASIS OF CHARGE OF Rs. 225

In short I had to pay Rs 400 , to a man who drilled two holes in the asbestos sheet.
That is a telling event on how steep and Illogical is the pricing of M/s DISH TV.

I have suffered enough , I will shift BACK to cable , at the very least , they will not ask for fraudulent charges like INSTALLATION every time they move the wire !!!!
