i bought dish tv because the cable facilit wasnt good... i got tempted by the 12 month free subscription offer of Dish TV which would cost me rs 4k all inclusive. but i had problems with the unit from
day one with the signal dissappearing within 5 mins on and off. i had to file 3 complaints on their call center for this one problem, then i was asked to call their local office (nowhere do you have to call 2 places to get your problem notified as if the call center registration is our responsibility) after 3 days of false promises of the technician coming to my place i had to shout at them on the 4th day when again they postponed it to next day... the guy cam within 30 mins and appeared victorious as he fixed the pbm only to my dismay when the problem reappeared as soon as he left... now after 3 complaints and two servicings in 14 days (all these days the cable wasnt working properly for even one day) they have taken away the set top box and there is no sign of the technician coming to my place..
overall, the servicing is pathetic, video quality is okay but the equipments are generally of poor quality and the service center people are all pathetically illeterate and making false promises. systems are completely screwed up since i had to give my complete contact details everytime i called them.
PLS dont go for it or check up with tatasky service first.
