I am a Dish Tv customer since 2010. I took a connection of Dish Tv at my Kolkata residence. Actually after 2011 I shifted to out of Kolkata and again returned back to Kolkata at the end of 2012. From 2012 I continued with my previous connection. I have normal SDTV connection.
The quality of picture is good and audio is also good. Every time I faced any problem I informed customer care they rectified the problem and solved timely. There was not a single issue.
But today I want to tell something that is so irritating. Last December in 2016 I got a problem that a lot of channel were not coming. I informed Customer service. Of course they send their representative and rectify the defect and changed some parts of dish antenna. They charged Rs. 500/- approximately. After some days probably in Jan 2017 the same problem started. I also informed the matter to customer service agent. They reply the same procedure to further send Customer service agent and also told about the charge/ fees. I told them not to send their mechanic. It is really disgusting that every month they will replace some parts of their items and charged for it.
One more thing is that presently four to ten channels are always showing out of signal. Let it be rainy, sunny, or clear weather whatever the weather it is.
It is not the end of the problem. Some time a group of channels are disappeared and some times it comes at it's own. I do not do anything, it comes and disappeared at their own. It means some time Discovery, Zee News, DD sports are not coming, then after two weeks these channels come and some other channels like Cartoon Network, IBN News, Channel V, Colour Tv disappear. Before December the same problem was there. That is why the mechanic came and did some replacement on Dish antenna. But no improvement is there.
One more irritating thing is that Dish Tv started showing Payment reminder on Tv screen 10 days before due date. I am not going to escape from Dish Tv. I have not taken any loan from Dish Tv. Every month I am paying. So what is this? It is more than enough to show reminder only before two days of recharge due date. I used Tata Sky, Videocon DTH also. They send SMS only once before due date. But Dish Tv send sms, Email, Pop up msg to TV screen repeatedly until I recharge. I can say these all are pathetic service.
If you ask me Dish Tv is costly or not. I can give you answer that when I used Tata Sky or Videocon DTH compare to them Dish Tv is not good. In case of Tata Sky or Videocon, I got more good channels compare to Dish Tv.
Overall my experience with Dish Tv is not good. It is so much disturbing compare to it's other competitors available in India.
