The serial Dil se di dua is amazing. I can totally identify with it as I myself have gone through this situation.From a bubbly girl from a reputed Mumbai college I was reduced to a girl with no self confidence.Even though I was a management professional I was not allowed to work because my husband wanted me to be totally dependent on him. Many times when I wanted to leave him, he threatened to kill me or commit suicide himself .He used to say that he will write a suicide note to implicate me for his death. This frightened and prevented me from leaving him.
Finally , last year I left him and I have complete support from my family, friends and relatives. Everybody told me it was the best decision that I have taken. Now I am happy and standing on my own feet. I have filed for a divorce and will be getting it soon. All the threats that he had issued to me that he will do if I leave him turned out be just a bag of hot air. He was a sadist who was enjoying my helplessness and feeding on my fear like a parasite.
I took a bold stand , though I was scared . I wish I had done it as soon as the violence started, instead of taking so long. But as they all say better late then never.
As I am still young I can start my life again. I say to all women out there who is going through this situation , please make your mind strong and you will surely get the courage to take the right step. no matter what is your age or qualification, the world is out there for you, do not compromise your self-respect and your self pride for anybody.
Karanvir is amazing as Viraj. So totally different from the usual characters that he plays. Sriti is also good as the victim.
A request to the serial makers , do not drag the serial and end it by making Jhanvi take a strong stand.
She should not live life like a bird ina golden cage.
