I read this novel when I was in 10th standard. Diary of a Young Girl is a vivid portrayal of the second world war seen through the eyes of a teenager. It describes how people especially jews suffered under Hitler's rule.
The author( Anne Frank) is gifted diary on his birthday and the diary becomes her best friend . She used to write diary regularly during war times and described their life during the wartime. She wanted to be a writer and her dream is fulfilled when her father get her diary published after her death.
This novel is the collection of pages of the author's diary and is full of her personal matters and experiences. Novel is a bit boring . You will get to know about the novel if you read its first 4-5 chapters and the last chapter. This was the one and only book written by this author due to her short lifespan .
