After almost a wait of two years, Yash Raj´s long-awaited   DHOOM 2 has finally hit the big screen. The question audiences have is obvious; was it worth the wait? And the answer is a resounding

yes! DHOOM 2 offers an irresistibly fun movie-going experience.

The film begins with Hrithik and the train robbery in Nambia, wherein hrithik in the guise of the highness robs the crown, after which there is a fight scene between him and the guard atop the train.

Bips is send to join up with Abhi and Uday to catch the internation robber who after every robbery leaves behind the alphabhet A.

In this way there are four robberies three of them before the interval and one after the inter

val. For every robbery Hrithik dons a disguise and after robbing also there are disguises used by him while getting away.

During one such robbery he meets Ash and they both rob together but Ash is napped by Abi and Bips where hrithik saves her. Later she convinces HR to make her his partner which he does and falls in love with her.

Ash is actually working for Abhi as she was gonna be jailed and Abhi told her to help him nap A then she wont be jailed. HR and Ash are planning a big robbery which Ash tell abhi about and she was to signal him after the end but HR sees her with Abhi.

Sanjay Gadhvi is no brilliant filmmaker, but he certainly deserves applause for a job well done here. He adds his own style to the shots. In some way, he has managed to keep the essence of DHOOM 1 alive in the first half and kept the story exactly the same.

He also deserves applause for handling a number of worthy sequences remarkably well.Like
-The various gate up of Hrithik [from queen to old man ] is a master storke
-Aishwarya’s introduction and the Basket ball  match that follows
-The pre climax in a water fall [breath taking]

Technically the movie is akin to a Hollywood movie. The action scenes are superb and big although some of them just defy logic and everything else as well. From Namibia to India to Brazil  the locales have been captured at their glamorous best.

Performances are brilliant from all the lead players.Hrithik is just divine as the villain. He overflows with style but manages to keep his character vulnerable and human. The result is one of the best performances of the year.

Aishwarya is in her element after a long . She is a actress who Ive always been two ways apart. On one hand there are performances like HDDCS which I just loved and on the other hand there are performances like SHABD  which I hated to hilt. She thoroughly impressed me with her last film UJ, and now with DHOOM 2 she delivers one of the most sensous performabnce of recent times....

Bips doesnt leave an impact at all. When the movie finished, I felt nothing for character or her performance. This is one of the most lifeless performances I ve seen as far as acting goes. To give credit where its due though, she looks SIMPLY hot! Infact, this is the hottest she has ever looked and with a doubt the girl is just gorgeous.Abhishek is stylish and cool. Uday too is a natural and once again there was no doubt about Udays talent in a comic role. His EVERY facial expression ensues an uproar of laughter. This is one performance which I won’t forget in a while.Rimi sen is there for two scenes..

The music is a mixed bag for me. I liked crazy, but prefer the old DHOOM MACHALE anyday. My favourite track in the whole movie has to be Dhoom again, stylishly executed the song comes at the right moment and is a treat.

At this juncture I would like to add that Hrithik dances his heart out here and it shows! It has been a long time since weve got to see hrihik dance with so much passion.

But all this is praise is not to say that dhoom 2 doesn´t have its share of flaws. It has a number of them, in fact.. Crisp editing was the need of the hour! This is likely the biggest thorn in Dhoom 2´s side; it drags in times where it should be moving at breakneck speed.

My second fault with the movie was its climax. This is the kind of climax that has been witnessed many a times before, and despite the innovation I thought the ending for the most did down slightly. The ending scene too wasnt quiet upto mark,in fact a total letdown.

Overall,D2 is well worth the wait and a candyfloss cnema at its best. It packs romance, dances, glamour, comedy, drama - into one fun-filled, action-packed, polished joy-ride of a film.Grab your tickets!
