Last sunday, myself, my hubby and his friends went to ECR Dabba for dinner. After what we went through, we have decided not to step into that restaurant again.

We called the waiter to order food. When we ordered for some naan/roti, the waiter told us that the tantoor is not ready. We asked him ’’This is a tantoori restaurant, right’’. He just laughed and said that it will take 1/2 hr to get the tandoori items. So we ordered some starters, naan and some gravy. We placed our order at 10.00 pm.

The starters came at 11.00 pm!!!! The best part was that we were not the only ones complaining. There was another customer who approached the waiter and asked,’’Can I help you in the kitchen?’’. It was pathetic. By the time we finished our dinner, it was 12 mn.

To add on, the food wasn’t good. I felt that the food was much much better in the other Dabba restaurants.

Here are the flaws of ECR Dabba:-

1) Shortage of staff. We even saw the cashier helping out in the kitchen.
2) Lack of staff training. We waited for 15 min or so before we had to ask someone to get us water. Moreover, when the starters arrived, we were not served with plates to eat on.
3) Where was the manager? We couldn’t find him/her.
4) They have a small ground where they raise ducks and other birds for display. The whole place was so badly maintained that it was stinking.
5) Poor customer service. No one seemed to bother any of the customers until they had to ask for something. Again, this is connected to points 1 and 2.

I seriously don’t understand how people can run a restaurant without building a good foundation of staff etc.
