Got card cancellation message

I have been using Deutsche Bank classic card since Dec 2007 without any default in my payments.
Today I recieved a message from the bank saying that my card has been closed stating the reaon for closure
as some credit review and asking to pay the dues. I called Db customer care but they did not give me any satisfactory reason and told me the same point of credit review.

A few days back these people were sending me continues messages to participate in
DB millions contest and when I spent 20 thousand to enter the contest, they found problems in my
credit History and cancelled the card.



I also sent a mail to customer.care@db.com but there is no reply yet.

If anyone is already facing the same problem please share your experience with me.


I mentioned in my previous review about Deutsche Bank Credit Card cancellation through an SMS. Since I did not get a satisfactory reply from DB customer care, I have filed a complaint in the Consumer Grievance Cell against Deutsche Bank asking for details of the same. Also I have refused to pay the outstanding amount and even asked for compensation for defamation.

I am waiting for their reply, if they do not reply then I may move to consumer court for the same.
I filed the following complaint-

I had been using Deutsche Bank classic credit card since 12/2007 without
any default in payment. Today on 29/12/2008 I recieved from the bank that
my card was cancelled and asking to pay my dues stating the reason for
cancellation as some credit review. I called up customer care and they
also told me the same without giving any clear reason for cancelling my
card.

I have also sent a mail to customer.care@db.com asking for same.

since Oct 2008 bank has been sending me several mesaages to enter into a
contest for which I was required to spend INR 20,000 and they never did my
credit review at that time. Now they closed my card without any reason and
asing me to pay the dues.


Consequences : As bank never gave me any prior intimation of closure of
card and they close the card after I spent INR 20000 to enter a contest.
I would like to get reversal of all my amount. I would not have spent this
amount if the contest was not there as the interest rate for this bank is
the highest among all the banks and I do not wish to pay that now.
Besides its a mental herrassment and defamation for me and I would also
like to seek compensation for the same.
