I have been using the Deutsche Bank Gold credit card for almost an year now, and am pretty satisfied with the services till date. Fingers crossed!!

DB does not make any tall claims of promotions, huge cash backs and other such stuff which most of the other banks offer. It gives me reward points on every transaction. The reward points vary based on the kind of transaction (4% for any grocery/departmental shop purchases, 2% on restaurants and 0.5% min on every transaction.) I also get some 2.5% cash back on petrol purchases (apart from the 2.5% service charge waivers). These reward points can be directly converted into cash. (For every reward point you get Re 0.70)

This credit card is ideal for normal transactions. I have another ICICI bank platinum card which I use only for transactions where I get some handy cash back or some other such offer.

The good thing about DB which I found is that they don’t bother you much with all the promotion calls and give me sms alerts for web transaction made on the card. The payment reminders are also pretty timely. I have never seen any abnormal charges either in my statement.

All in all, I am a pretty satisfied user of DB Gold card. The few drawbacks which one may find are:

1. No online account for making payments or checking card usage. (Here I should point out that I find there Tele service pretty good and most of the time I get to speak instantaneously to the customer care.)
2. They do not have a very good branch network. It is present only in 5-6 key cities.
3. Not much offers apart from the regular reward points.
